Debating Welsh-Worth

No stranger to events held by the Chartered Institute of Marketing, recently James, Brand/68 Director, took up his invite to sit on an expert panel at Swansea University to debate the Welsh Brand.

How does the Wales brand add value? When is it appropriate to emphasise the Welsh origin of your product and when is it a disadvantage? Is the Wales brand exclusively of use to the food and tourism sectors or can it be successfully extended to manufacturing?

James joined Neil Burchell, Managing Director of Rachel's Organics, Dan Langford, Group Marketing Director at Acorn and Professor Adrian Palmer, Professor of Marketing at Swansea University in what he described as an “interesting and lively debate”.
